Sliding wardrobe door jumping off track
A sliding wardrobe door drops out of its bottom guide, scrapes along the floor or carpet, runs with a grinding noise, or stops partway and has to be lifted to move. Pushed hard, it may come away from the top track altogether, which is when it becomes dangerous rather than annoying.

02BEFORE ANYONE VISITS
What you can safely check.
- Clear the track of debris.
- Avoid forcing the door.
- Check the floor guide is in place.
- Note whether the door is heavy mirrored glass.
03WHAT WE MEASURE
We lift the door off safely, inspect the top and bottom runners for flat spots and cracks, check the track for bends and debris along its whole length, and look at the floor guide. Once the parts are sound, we set the door’s height and alignment so it runs level and the doors overlap evenly when closed.
