Scheduled visit
Construction dust settling in the pool
While a neighbouring villa is built or renovated, a fine grey or brown film forms on the pool surface and settles on the floor. The water turns dull, and the filter needs cleaning far more often.
Pool Maintenance
Normally scheduled. Equipment failures that would leave the pool stagnant are handled sooner.

What usually sits behind this symptom, and what tells one cause from another.
Airborne dust from nearby works
Fine dust on deck and surface; timing matches works.
Filter overloaded
Pressure rising quickly.
Pool uncovered during works
No cover in use.
02BEFORE ANYONE VISITS
What you can safely check.
- Use a cover when the pool is not in use.
- Skim and brush more often.
- Watch filter pressure.
- Note when works generate dust.
03WHAT WE MEASURE
We check filter pressure, the debris in the filter and on the floor, and pump run times. Cleaning plus filter care keeps water clear until the works end.
04IN A VILLA
Newer Dubai communities still have plots under construction beside occupied villas, so a pool can face months of airborne dust from excavation, cutting and deliveries. Afternoon winds carry it straight into gardens, and the pool acts as a large dust trap.
05THE FIX
Which repair, and when.
Dust feeds algae, clouds water and clogs filters.
Vacuum to waste and clean the filter
Dust has settled.
Increase cleaning and filtration
Works continue.
Fit or use a cover
The pool is uncovered.
06Typical villa pool servicing
Quoted per visit or on a regular schedule
Depends on pool volume, equipment set and visit frequency. Equipment repairs are separate and quoted after inspection. We do not carry out pool construction or full renovation.
07QUESTIONS
- Can I ask neighbours to control dust?
- Community rules may cover site dust; ask management.
- Does dust affect chemistry?
- It adds debris that increases demand.
- Should I drain the pool?
- Usually not; cleaning and filtration are enough.
- Will the dust stain the pool finish?
- Fine dust left settled on the floor for long periods can mark lighter finishes; regular vacuuming prevents it.
