Scheduled visit
Chemical demand suddenly much higher in summer
The amount of chlorine the pool needs has jumped since the weather turned hot. Doses that held all winter disappear in a day, and the readings drop again by evening. Some increase is normal in summer; a sudden or extreme jump usually points to something specific.
Pool Maintenance
Normally scheduled. Equipment failures that would leave the pool stagnant are handled sooner.
Call nowBook a water test on WhatsApp01LIKELY CAUSES
What usually sits behind this symptom, and what tells one cause from another.
Stabiliser too low to protect chlorine from sunlight
Stabiliser reading below range on an extended test.
Stabiliser too high, slowing chlorine down
Stabiliser reading well above range; chlorine present but weak.
Organic load or early algae consuming chlorine
Chlorine loss overnight with no sun; combined chlorine high.
Water temperature and filtration hours mismatched
Run hours compared with water temperature.
02BEFORE ANYONE VISITS
What you can safely check.
- Test chlorine at sunset and again at sunrise to see overnight loss.
- Note how many hours the pump runs and whether that changed for summer.
- Keep a simple log of doses and readings for a week.
- Store chemicals in shade, separated, and never mix them.
03WHAT WE MEASURE
We test stabiliser, combined chlorine and phosphate alongside the usual readings, run an overnight chlorine loss check, and review run time against water temperature. The result tells us whether the problem is sunlight, load or the filtration routine.
04IN A VILLA
Uncovered villa pools in Dubai take intense direct sun for most of the day and reach very warm water temperatures in summer. Both destroy chlorine faster. Shading, run hours and stabiliser level all matter more here than in milder climates.
05THE FIX
Which repair, and when.
Low chlorine in warm water lets algae and bacteria take hold quickly, and recovering a pool costs more than keeping it balanced.
Correct stabiliser and adjust the dosing routine
Sunlight loss is the main driver.
Shock treat and clean the filter
Organic load or early algae is consuming chlorine.
Partial drain and refill
Stabiliser is too high to bring down any other way.
06Typical villa pool servicing
Quoted per visit or on a regular schedule
Depends on pool volume, equipment set and visit frequency. Equipment repairs are separate and quoted after inspection. We do not carry out pool construction or full renovation.
07QUESTIONS
- Should I just add more tablets?
- Stabilised tablets also add stabiliser, which can build up and slow chlorine down. The routine matters more than the amount.
- Does a cover help?
- It reduces sunlight loss and evaporation, which lowers demand in summer.
