02BEFORE ANYONE VISITS
What you can safely check.
- Look from a safe position; avoid climbing on the roof.
- Check for damp marks below the tank.
- Note the tank’s age if known.
- Watch for sudden changes in water level.
03WHAT WE MEASURE
We inspect the shell for depth of degradation, check for weeping and test the tank’s stability on its base. That decides whether protection is enough or replacement is due.
04IN A VILLA
Villa roof tanks face years of intense sun with no shade at all, and the side facing south and west degrades first. Faded shells also let more light through, which links to algae growth inside and to water that comes out of the cold tap noticeably warm in summer.
